Lovely hair pin and such a thoughtful, careful and dedicated way to create. Appreciate you sharing your process! Do you ever forge knives?

I do. No showpieces yet, but I have done a few little paring knives for sharpening pencils around the shop and for artist friends. I have materials on hand to do blacksmith-style knives, railroad spike knives,.and traditional full tang monosteel knives. Available handle materials include mahogany, ash, red fir, hickory, maple, and purple heartwood.

Congratulations! Not only is the finished product beautiful, but I really enjoyed the account of its journey into being.

My hair is finally reaching a good long length again, so I've got my eyes on a hair pin. Could you also do one of those Celtic brooch pins, like they use for kilts?

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed.

Your grammar at the beginning was unclear whether you were expressing appreciation or commercial interest. Are you wanting a hairpin, or a knife, or both?
